Hello there! I am Abby. I have worked at two ‘Outstanding Schools’ in my teaching career. My first school was in Essex, where I completed my NQT year and worked for a further 4 years. I am now a HOD in Central London, I have been at my current school for 2 years. I am a true believer in work smarter, not harder. I think the key to a successful Art lesson is engaging pupils in appropriately challenging tasks and interesting content. I hope you can make good use of these resources!

As the Elements of Art are the building blocks for all other Art forms this is a great project to introduce your pupils to Art with.
As with many Art projects, it is a self-differentiated project and pupils ranging from age 5 to 13 will be able to access and enjoy the tasks. Younger pupils may struggle with the final lesson (a quiz) however.
8 lessons (based on 1 hr lessons)
48 slides of content
Includes a video to introduce each element of art
Includes a test at the end to check on learning throughout, peer marking answer slide included
Includes a starter (Do Now) slide for each lesson with answer slide
Based on pupils having a small sketchbook to work in
Minimal (inexpensive materials) required to complete project
Each task is broken down into step by step instructions
Simple, colourful and well presented slides (if I do say so myself!)
Hope it saves you a bit of time and gives us well deserving teachers a free day or 2!
