KS1 Wright Brothers Sources

(0)
An activity using a selection of sources about the Wright Brothers and a table to begin to use sources to gather evidence about a historical event. I printed the different sources and put them on different tables around the room then told the children that there were a range of different sources that provide clues as to what happened on 17 December 1903. Give the children a magnifying glass. Tell them that they are to go around to each source and use their inference skills to find clues about what might have happened. Let’s look at this source, what can you see? What information does this source tell us? (highlight who, what, where, when) What does this source tell us about the Wright brothers? Where do you think the sources came from? Complete tables with information gained from sources in pairs. Choose the source that shows ‘Who/What/Where/When/How long’ and write down the information gained.
