With the National Curriculum in mind, I’ve meticulously designed a series of engaging castle-themed Rainbow Challenges, specially tailored for Year 1 students. These challenges aim to spark children’s curiosity about castles while helping them develop various skills in a fun and interactive way.
Children will dive into the world of castles through activities such as construction, junk modelling, drawing, and writing. They will build their own castles, create models using recycled materials, draw pictures of knights and castles, and even write an invitation to a knight. Additionally, they will practice their maths skills by counting in 2s, 5s, and 10s inspired by castle themes.
By the end of these challenges, students will have learned about the different parts of a castle and the people who lived there, while also developing important skills in art, writing, and maths. Get ready to embark on an exciting adventure through the magical world of castles with these educational and fun-filled challenges!
