Here are the numbers which I use on my working wall washing line. Each number appears on a little shirt. This is a small size washing line to fit onto a working wall or to use in a pocket chart. Also included are socks numbers 1-20. I love these for odd and even. Included: numbers 0-100; each number on a shirt shirts with addition, subtraction and equals symbols shirts with one more and less, ten more and less and equals numbers 1-20 on socks This is a super addition to any maths working wall. Maths working walls are an essential in a primary classroom. Here are the headings needed to create a cute working wall. Included: bright striped bunting which says maths working wall headings which say: we are learning to, vocabulary, examples of work, top tips for excellent work, WAGOLL, challenge and questions. 15 maths growth mindset posters to keep everyone motivated The bunting lettering is in bold capital letters and says maths working wall. Also included is a bunting flag with an apple and another with a sweet little chalk board. The headings have a large space to write under them. I laminate these and then use a white board marker to write and wipe as needed throughout the topic. I reuse them again and again. So once the board is set up it’s very easy to change and add to as often as required. Questions to display that teachers and students can ask. Each question is displayed in its own thought bubble. One thought bubble per A4 paper. These are great for warm ups, number talk, thinking together and plenaries. These questions are also perfect for display on your maths working wall. Here is a little introduction to arrays. There are three resources. Part 1 has lots of pictures of real life arrays as well as the traditional arrangement of dots. Each with a frame to write multiplication equations. The part 2 resource has lots of arrays made of clip art style pictures with a frame to write multiplication equations. Part 3 has further explanation of arrays and array work presented in various styles ie. in pictures, dots, etc. There is also a template for children to use to make and draw their own array. Task cards can be given as an activity, as something pupils do if they finish early, as a plenary or can be given as a challenge at the end of an activity. These 48 task cards have been designed for Key stage one children. They are ready for home learning too as there is no prep. They include: -identifying and naming shapes -describing differences between two shapes -identifying the shape that does not belong in the group and explaining why -describing how two shapes are similar -identifying what shape is created when two shapes are joined together -Identifying shapes in a given picture -Complete a shape pattern -identify a given shape in a pattern beyond the pattern given -explain if a sequence of shapes is correct or incorrect Some teachers like to laminate the cards. Each card has three possible answers. Students select the correct answer by clipping a clothespin, peg or paper clip to it. I like to laminate these cards so students can simply circle the correct answer using a dry erase marker. Alternatively, you can print these on paper to hand out to your class at the end of the lesson; pupils circle the correct answer and hand in as a great exit ticket or plenary to the lesson. Here is an introduction I use for problem solving with length with year 1 students. I use this following on from measuring lengths using non-standard units. It uses the non-standard units of cubes. It enables children to use part, part whole model and begins a gentle introduction on bar modeling.
