This video is designed to help teachers by giving an introduction to the changes Cambridge have made to the IGCSE syllabus for students sitting from 2025.

The lesson plan takes the death of George Floyd, an event which became a global issue, and links it the Global Perspectives topics Law & Criminality and Human Rights. A short video which introduces students to the history component of the Cambridge O Level Pakistan Studies (2059) Syllabus. The video can be shared with students through platforms such as the Google classroom. It can also be shown in class. The video is designed in sections so a teacher is able to stop and explain in more detail, and answer students questions. All information has been taken directly from the syllabus.

There are many Team Project marks allocated for Cultural Perspectives but students often struggle to understand how to investigate different cultural perspective in their team project. The focus on different nationalities limits the correct understanding of the concept. This mindmap allows the teacher to introduce and discuss some different cultural perspectives with students.

IGCSE Global Perspectives requires the students to develop the skill of identifying and understanding different perspectives. This resource takes a historical photo related to racism and allows the teacher to make a connection to how it remains a global problem. The students can explore different points of view/perspectives on racism. It is designed in a step by step format which allows the student to develop their understanding.

The lesson plan explores the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement through a video, and focuses on developing students understanding of different cultural perspectives, by using sources to identify different viewpoints about the topic. A complete lesson plan that is divided into different tasks to allow the teacher to complete it within a time frame they are comfortable with. This lesson plan can be used generally for BLM but has been written with IGCSE Global Perspectives in mind.

Students often struggle to understand how to structure their answer to this question, and how to construct the justifications for their choice through use of the mark scheme and the Insert sources. This table acts as a guide, sharing points to help write each paragraph. I have used a question from one of the Cambridge past papers.

For the Global Perspective syllabus from 2025, this concise guide has been prepared to help teachers and students to understand what is required for the New Team Explanation, which is now called an Explanation of Research and Planning. The document can be edited to be used as a template for students to complete their explanation for submission.

The GP team project from 2025 has many changes including to the Personal component, which is the Individual Reflection Paper. This guide can be used by teachers to ensure the students understand the essential elements that must be included within the reflection paper to obtain maximum marks. The guide has been structured in such a way that it can be used as a template for the students to write and construct their reports.

The new GP syllabus from 2025 has a new research design question. With no past paper questions available, this resource has 4 sample questions along the pattern of the specimen paper. It can be used by teachers as practice for students.

IGCSE Global Perspectives Component 3 Team Project requires the students to submit a Reflection Paper. To help break down some key requirements of the project process, and to record them for use later as examples within the Reflection Paper, I have created this Log for students to complete individually. Give your students a print out, or a soft copy, or both to allow them to focus on the important skills and aspects which they will need to reflect on.
