This resource contains problem-solving tasks for pupils aged 11-16 years. Each pupil will have a different worksheet to that of their neighbour yet they will arrive at the same answer. All of the activities have a worked solution (or solutions). The tasks include algebra, geometry, proof, circle theorems, trigonometry, sequences, sine rule, integration, probability, projectiles, simultaneous equations and more. Pupils can’t copy the working from a neighbour – they could copy the method (but that is not such a bad thing). There is a wow factor - how can all the answers be the same? The stronger pupils will want to find out why and this leads them to want to prove it - voluntarily! The tasks should promote discussing mathematics in and out of the classroom.
