This is a bundle of resources to introduce literacy/key vocabulary in PE and knowledge preparation for GCSE
What does it do?
It introduces literacy and key vocabulary into PE lessons
This improves knowledge and understanding of key words used in the GCSE PE syllabus (Edexcel)
This gives them the knowledge and understanding of component 1 prior to KS4
It improves literacy in PE
Provides work to be done at home which is assessed each term
The assessment is automatically marked. Pupils get their score immediately (no marking to do)
How it works
Resources are uploaded onto google classroom (put a whole year of year 9 into 1 classroom)
Using key vocabulary document introduce key words in lessons throughout the term
Pupils use knowledge organisers, work booklets and revision guides to reinforce understanding
Each term pupils complete an assessment on a google form which is automatically marked
The results are automatically collated to measure their knowledge and understanding
Analysis can be done to identify strengths and weaknesses
This provides all pupils work to be completed at home with an assessment that is automatically marked. Once the work is uploaded onto google classroom it requires little work
If you do this for the whole of stage 3 they will have completed the whole of Component 1 of the GCSE course
