A workbook for a project on stop-motion animation. I have also included a file which detials how the project can be integrated for Junior Cycle Level 3, L2LP and JCSP outcomes (Irish Curriculum). You will need the free Ipad/iphone app: Stop Motion Studio to make the films. Very easy to use and free! This could also be used by upper KS2/SEN KS3 in the UK Curriculum. It’s differentiated by outcome and more challenging aspects can be edited/omitted entirely from the workbook.

Diary Writing or Comic Strip Writing lesson, includes worksheet and stills from the film for students to sequence if they require the support or choose to make the comic strip option. For some very low ability SEN students, they have simply selected a still from the film and written a sentence about it/told an adult about that part of the film. Very diverse uses for this resource over the years! Video is easy to find on youtube.

For one month, I had ‘phonecall time’ as part of our timetable every week. These were used to support students practicing phoning local businesses to get information.

Teacher notes: We had a week where we practised making phonecalls to different kinds of businesses. I printed out these cards out and students wrote on them in whiteboard markers. This meant they could be swapped around day-to-day so students did different ones each day of that week.
