Ready to use! Straight out of the box, no printing of resources needed. Lesson relates to AQA Chemistry/Trilogy 9-1 Specification. Lesson contains a simple but interactive True or False starter. Clear definitions of pure substances, mixtures, formulation. Lesson also builds into discussion of heating curves, melting points, boiling points and how these relate to state of matter. Also contains example exam question and plenary at end. Could be incorporated into a practical lesson relating to heating curves. I used this as a theory lesson with middle ability Year 11 students. A series of posters I created and laminated in an attempt to create and ‘interactive’ class room in which teachers can use the starters or plenaries on the walls or even let the pupils choose them. Also contains a power point with a series of different levelled questions. Over 4000 minutes worth of editing time. Great for display boards in class rooms. Starter and Plenary essentials. One contains a variety of starter activity that can be used as a display or as booklets on the desk. The second contains a variety of plenary displays that can be used as a display or as booklets for the teacher to use. The other is a very colourful Blooms’ Higher order Thinking Board, we called this the HOT board and we get students to select questions and phrases to use in their exercise books.
