Lesson for Y8 / Y9 or early GCSE students of French based on the topic of food, meals and introduction to healthy diets. The lesson contains: Introduction based on the vocabulary of food, drinks, meals, etc. Learning objectives for students to translate (talk/share/discuss.) Miniboards translation French to English / English to French or simply dictation based on the new GCSE skill. Listening task (audio files included) with transcription and answers highlighted. These slides are meant to help students retrieve their tenses: -Present -Past -Near future -Future All grids contains Target Language. With their mini white boards students translate from English to Target Language. Students gives an example in English/Spanish and students translate on their mini white board. I would suggest to start with translations from TL to English. This activity can be differentiated in many ways but the main one is for students to stretch more and more following the sequence: Who / What / When / Where / Why. This lesson could be use in KS3 or KS4 with your students and it is really well differentiated all the way throught. In included exams skills for photo-card practice and it included all the skills to be practiced in the lesson. This included: Presentation Handouts for most of the activities.
