WORK HARD- REST, WORK HARD- REST!!!
The TABATA (High Intensity Interval Training) Instant Activity is a FUN and ACTIVE fitness collection of workout visuals (with corresponding incentive tickets) that can easily be utilized by a physical education or classroom teacher to provide students with a quality, fitness-based, high intensity workout that they will absolutely LOVE!
This set was inspired by a “cutting edge” Atlanta-based PE teacher, Justin Cahill @justybubPE who writes a top-notch blog located at: https://t.co/lLsyhfwxjl
This valuable resource is made up of 12 distinct color-coded TABATA (High Intensity Interval Training) workout visuals that provide an energetic, timed movement experience for the students to participate in. The TABATA visuals can be applied in a number of different ways within a PE lesson or as a great warm-up activity. Classroom teachers can use the TABATA workout visuals as a Brain Boosting activity during those critical times of the day!
Each TABATA visual comes with 6 different fitness-based exercise/movements that students will perform for a set amount of time. They work best as an Instant Activity as students enter a playing area. Students first read the screen, signs or posters; then follow the directions and move!!!
WHAT’S INSIDE:
TABATA Visuals: 12 distinct color-coded workout visuals (6 “actions ”per workout) that can be used on a projected screen, as posters on the wall or signs at a station area.
Incentive Tickets: 12 matching sheets of tickets that students collect as they successfully perform each round
Activity Plan: A comprehensive activity plan that includes standards, detailed instructions and modifications.
IT'S TIME TO GO GREEN!!!
The St. Patrick’s Day PE Stations are 20 fun filled, “LUCK OF THE IRISH” cards that you can use in your school gymnasium or can be modified and performed in a smaller space such as a classroom or empty cafeteria. Each movement card provides a locomotor or manipulative-skill activity which includes a brief instructional direction and a St. Patty’s Day graphic that depicts the activity. Full directions for implementing the activities are also included. Look for leprechauns, shamrocks and Irishmen moving and playing in all kinds of fun ways.
The activities are NASPE standards-based and there are plenty of activities for you to choose from which allows the students to take part in the stations during multiple class periods (during St. Patty’s Week) if necessary. Each movement card provides a Irish-based activity that can be performed with typical PE equipment.
These St. Patrick’s Day Stations are ideal for a physical education or classroom teacher to use in the weeks leading up to St. Patrick's Day as a “Brain Break” or to reinforce movement concepts, manipulative skills, cooperation and physical fitness. These stations were created to be “FUN” and your students will ask you to bring them out during the St. Patrick’s Day season, year after year.
The St. Patrick's Day PE Stations were designed for Kindergarten through 6th grade students.
PUMP UP THE VOLUME!!!
The following fitness activity, What’s on Your Plate- Valentine’s Day Fitness Edition is a “high energy, fun and organized” PE Valentine-themed activity that can easily be used as a warm up, cool down, or extended as a “stand alone” activity during fitness instruction. Thirty, circular signs with corresponding fitness movements were created to help develop your students' personal fitness during those challenging weeks in the dead of the Winter. Your students will love the movement exercises and the Valentine-related graphics. They will want to repeat the activity many times during the weeks leading up to Valentine's Day.
This fitness activity can be used in a gym setting, in a classroom or anywhere that you have some space to have kids perform some stationary exercises and movement skills in small groups. The “What’s on Your Plate- Valentine's Day Fitness Edition” is very easy to set up and can last anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes, depending upon the duration you use per rotational movement set.
After printing and laminating the circular exercise and movement “plates”, spread them out on the floor around your room or gym, use UPBEAT music for start and stop cues; then let the students let loose and “move it, move it”!!! It is as simple as that. Don’t forget to demonstrate each movement or better yet, have selected students demonstrate the movements first before you begin the process.
NOTE: Some of the graphics and Valentine's Day sayings on the exercise plates are similar to the graphics and sayings in my PE Valentine Exercise Cards and 4 Valentine's Day Activities, however the size of the circular plates are much larger than the exercise cards and both product activities are quite different.
The PE Valentine Exercise Cards and Valentine’s Day Activities were designed for Kindergarten through 5th grade students.
The 7 Habits in PE printable display signs used for this product were created by Cap’n Pete adapting Steven R Covey’s habits and principles from his book entitled “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”. It was first published in 1989, as a business and self-help book and has sold more than 25 million copies in 38 languages worldwide, and the audio version has sold 1.5 million copies, and remains one of the best-selling nonfiction business books.
As a 7 Habits school (Leader in Me), we strive to apply the principles and concepts of the 7 habits in all areas of the school including physical education. We use these printable display signs at our front door bulletin board and/or in our gym hallway to showcase some of the ideals we expect our students to achieve in physical education class.

“YOU ARE NOW FREE TO MOVE ABOUT THE GYM.”
The “4 Free PE Skill Stations and Task Cards” product is a sample of station signs and task cards from my collection of PE Skill Stations and Task Cards- “Mega Bundle”. They are ideal for PE teachers to reinforce teaching cues in sport-based units or could be used as a diversion from a regiment of PE fitness activities. Classroom teachers could also use individual stations and task cards inside their classrooms (perhaps as a reward) or outside in a playing area such as a playground or paved area. The PE Stations and Task Cards have been designed for Kindergarten through 6th grade students.
The stations can be easily set up in your gym, classroom or outside playing area, using basic equipment most physical education teachers or elementary/middle schools would have in their storage closet. Each station was created to provide multiple skill development situations with students working “alone” or with “partners”. The skills learned through these stations will allow the students to perform better in PE lead up games in a variety of sports and other PE-based activities.
