I planned this lesson to encourage students to use properly the verb To be in Spanish classes. It includes definitions and different uses of Ser/ Estar. The objectives and activities are differentiated. Attractive images such us The Simpsons and Mr. Bean are presented in this powerpoint for them to learn while they have fun. You can use it from year 7 until year 11, of course it depends on the level of each learner.

A film review is a 10 slide presentation for year 9 students. To engaged them in the lesson I chose some movies they saw. By the end of the lesson students will be a cinema critic and they will write their own paragraphs. All the activities are differentiated to stretch them, extension activities are included and also starter and plenary exercises. Objectives for students: Some of you will be able to write at least 3-4 sentences giving opinions about a film you like or dislike, using 4-5 different adjectives. Most of you will be able to write at least 2-3 sentences giving opinions about a film you like or dislike, using 3-4 different adjectives. All of you will be able to write a paragraph around 1-2 sentences giving opinions about a film you like or dislike, using 2 different adjectives.
