A3 resource to help students visualise what is happening during the electrolysis of four different aqueous solutions (*AQA REQUIRED PRACTICAL).
Splits the solutions into the anode and cathode. I tend to work through the first example on the visualiser in this order:
1 - Identify the four ions present in the solution
2 - Draw the two ions that would be attracted to the cathode in the cathode half, repeat for the anode.
3 - Use the rules printed at the top to then identify the product at each electrode.
4 - State the reason for each product (again using the rules at the top)
Students can then try the other three examples on their own.
Worksheet set out in the IDEAL structure to cover the titration required practical. Exam question for Link section is from exampro.
I - Identify the equipment
D - Describe the method
E - Explain the method
A - Analyse the results
L - Link to exam question
Six lesson topic covering voltage and resistance (part of the Electromagnets SOW from the new AQA Mastery style curriculum). Mainly aimed at Y7.

Lesson 5 - Resistance in series circuits
Lesson 6 - Resistance in parallel circuits
Includes RAG document to use throughout and mini-assessment in the final lesson. Parts of resources taken from other lessons, some of which were found on TES.

This project was designed as part of a Y9 SOW. The idea is that the project should take 4 - 6 lessons and will ensure that students recall and understand the basics needed to access GCSE.
This is part of a series of 10 projects (all of which can be found in my shop) to cover all KS3 content before beginning GCSE.

An illustrated display consisting of 6 books and 6 TV series' that would give students a wider understanding (and hopefully some enthusiasm!) about science.
A lesson aimed at new Y7 classes to familiarise them with a Bunsen burner. Includes a sequencing activity on how to turn on a Bunsen and a label the diagram activity. Ends with the students then following the sequence to safely turn, and alter the flame, to earn their Bunsen Burner license.
