This set of resources is used for teaching 2D and 3D shapes and their properties.
The Power Points take the students through the different shapes and allow them to fill in the details of all the shapes into the accompanying shape properties booklet.
One of the Power Points is simply used as a revision template for the names of shapes - print out the slide and get the children to write down the names of the shapes. You can then reveal all the names.

Children will then create a key and the write each activity as a fraction out of 24. Higher level children should be encouraged to simplify their fractions.
Children working at a lower level can use the version which leaves the fractions as a fraction out of 24.
This activity could be completed on the sheet or could be cut out and each element displayed on nice colourful paper.

A data handling investigation using Smarties.
Pupils will predict and estimate on:
the number of Smarties in each tube.
the colour of Smarties in each tube.
the amount of each colour in each tube.
