A full movie guide to work with the movie ONWARD! There are pre, while and post viewing tasks as well as a BONUS game at the end ;) My students loved it!
Hi there! I designed this worksheet to work with the movie ‘The Fifth Wave’ which is available on Netflix! I found it quite useful to use this worksheet in-between exams, just to help my students relax and be entertained!
This worksheet includes three comprehension tasks:
Match characters with pictures
Match descriptions with characters
Watch, read and answer true or false
My students loved this film! I recommend that you watch it with teens.
I hope you enjoy it!
Hi all! I highly recommend watching this Netflix series! It’s aimed at teenagers and it tackles different topics that they will be so interested in.
I created this worksheet to analyse the trailer which came out in 2020. This is what’s included in the file:
Pre-viewing activities: discussion of important terms from the series’ synopsis. Students use them to give examples about themselves.
While-viewing activities: students watch the trailer and answer 5 comprehension questions.
Post-viewing activities: students work in groups and use their answers from question 5 (previous exercise) to discuss the superpowers that appear in the video.
This worksheet could be adapted for distance learning by using liveworksheets.com
My students seemed motivated to watch the whole series after completing this worksheet. I hope it works well for your class too!
Let me know what you think in a review !

Help your students improve their speaking skills by using these questions. They are intended for the CAE Exam but these could be used with any speaking activity. You can either print them out and have these cards laminated (that’s what I did) or you can just share your screen on Zoom and display them. There are more than 100 options to choose from!

The aim of this project is that students can be their favorite celebrity/sportsperson/movie character for a day! They have have to follow the instructions shown in the slides and film themselves as if they were their favorite people! The file includes an example and a format that students can follow.
My students were highly motivated and I was really impressed by some of their productions!
This is a comprehension worksheet that I’ve designed to work with the very first episode of ‘The Crown’ from Netflix. Throughout the activities, students are supposed to:
Order events
Answer comprehension questions
Complete a description
Decide who said certain lines
Write whether statements are true or false
Carry out further research on important concepts from the episode
The activities are guided as it is stated in each exercise the exact minutes students should pay attention to in order to successfully complete the activities.
I’m positive that your students will love this series as much as mine do!
Let’s keep in touch! Look for the links in my bio :)
I created a guide to work with the docufilm ‘The Social Dilemma’ which Netflix launched in September. It could be used as a whole unit since there are more than 30 pages of comprehension work! It includes pre, while and post viewing tasks. I also wrote a teacher’s key version that is included towards the end of the file.
These are the contents of the guide:
a) The Social Monster’s Origin (before watching). Pages 1-2
b) Silicon Valley Tech Geniuses (from beginning up to 10:38 m). Pages 3-8
c) The Business Model (from 10:40 up to 23:30 m). Pages 9-13
d) Social Media: tools or something else? (from 23:30 up to 44 m). Pages 14-17
e) New Level on Technology or Checkmate on Humanity? (from 44:00 up to 1:00:10 m). Pages 18-21
f) The Existential Threat (from 1:00:10 up to 1:22:49 m). Pages 22-27
g) Can we do better? - Follow up from the guide (from 1:22:50 m up to the end). Pages 28-32.

In this entertaining game, students will review the alphabet and the words they can make with each letter. It’s really useful for online classes! A great gap filler or warm up for your activities.
Instructions:
Everybody gets a stack of notecards. Get into groups of 6-8. In each group, assign a reader and a scorekeeper. (The reader will rotate each round.) When a photo comes on the screen, quietly write a caption for the picture to create a meme. Fold your notecard and submit it to your reader. After everyone has submitted a caption, the reader reads each caption aloud and selects their favorite one. Go around in your group and guess who wrote the reader’s choice. +1 point to everyone who guesses correctly;
+2 points for the writer of the caption if no one guesses! Whoever has most points by the end of the game wins!
Some weeks ago, I thought about using ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle in my classes, but since I couldn’t find a nice version to print out, I decided to edit this one, showing bigger letters in a ‘Big Book’ style.
In contrast to the original book version, I included one fruit per page so that the phrases are more easily-read.
This adapted book is designed in such a way that when you print it out horizontally, the pages that require two pages will be standing next to one another.
I printed it out in A3 size and had it laminated so as to make it more durable and easier to flip through (It was useful to work with predictions).
I hope you find it useful as well!

Hi everyone! In an attempt to teach the past simple in a meaningful and purposeful way, I’d like to share this grammar worksheet based on the series ‘The Umbrella Academy’, which Netflix launched in 2019. In the PDF, there are are three exercises:
Predict the show’s themes and genre based on pictures and the synopsis (don’t forget to confirm students’ predictions!)
Watch the trailer on YouTube (link provided) and complete the summary using past simple.
Answer this question: would you like to watch the show? Why? Discuss in groups.
This worksheet is aimed at teens or adults and you can use it in-class or digitally! (check liveworksheets.com)
I hope you find it useful!
