High Frequency Word Cards - Rainbows and Unicorns

(0)
Make learning to read & write fun! Our cards cover high frequency words that your little one will regularly meet while learning to read and write. They are broken down into three sets following the stages your child will work through as they learn. On the reverse of each set is a different type of image, engaging your child and making it easy to identify the stage packs. The cards identify if words can be decoded (use phonics knowledge) or if they are not decodable. Decodable words have a solid line around the word, and non-decodable have a dashed. Our cards are designed to engage your little ones and promote play. It’s through play that children learn the most. Included in the pack is a QR code taking you to our blog, packed with lots of games and ideas on how to make the most of these cards. This is a digital product for you to print and cut helping keep the costs low and no waiting around for the post. I recommend laminating them for longevity and so your little one can develop their writing skills using a dry-wipe pen to write the words on them again and again. Please check our store for the pack with the images your little one will enjoy the most. This is the rainbows and unicorns pack. Pick the set that your child will enjoy the most.

Daily gratitude has been shown to help improve mental wellbeing. These cards are designed to act as prompts to help pupils and staff reflect on what has been good each day. These can helps us shift our brain’s focus to the positive things in our day, helping us feel happier and notice more good things. Use with your pupils at the end of each day to help them reflect on the positives and finish the day focused on everything that went well and they are proud of. Check in with your parents to see if the discussions they have with their children after school changes. Do they find out more about their child’s day? Do they hear more good things? Do they know more about what learning their child is proud of? Share these with your staff to support adult wellbeing too. Staff and older children may find these even more effective when they write their answers down, thinking about why the good thing happened and how they can get them to happen again. Also check out our Desktop Background Displays for a large visual reminder for all school memebers.
