This colourful A3 sheet has a guide for how to answer each question on one side, and a listof theorists and theories for a range of different langauge topics on the other. It’s a reference sheet that my students come back to time and time again. The tips and guidance on how to answer each question is from discussion and advice from AQA.

My students have found this to be a helpful revision tool. They can research each theory in more depth, tick off the ones they have revised and use the grid to help them write example essay plans. There are a range of theories from the more well-known to modern, lesser-known theories. The back of the sheet can also be used as a checklist to ensure practise essays cover a range of the language methods and to revise key terminology.

An A3 context knowledge organiser and worksheet on context in Macbeth. The worksheet helps students to learn how to phrase contextual links. Students match 10 essay topics to the contextual links on the other side of the sheet. I have found this really helps students to understand how to write about context in an academic style. I also stock context sheets on An Inspector Calls, Jekyll and Hyde and A Christmas Carol.

A double-sided A3 revision sheet that outlines the language methods such as: word classes, sentence types, phrases, clauses, and key terms for lexis and semantics, graphology and discourse structure. This sheet is a good guide to remind students of these essential grammtical key terms that they need to satisfy the A01 assessment objective across the English Language A Level exam.

A summary of 26 Language and Gender Theories, organised into Deficit, Dominance, Difference and Diversity approaches, and theories around gendered language and masculinity. My students find this double-sided sheet a useful tool for revision and for referring to when planning practise essays on language and gender.
