This is a great resource that I have used for years. I use it to check that children are on the correct book band. These books are from reading schemes such as Bug Club and Collins Big Cat. They do have the old national curriculum levels on them but book bands have not changed since the change of curriculum so still relevant now. I then track my children on a book band tracker which I have attached to this bundle too.

This resource includes a simplified version of the text covering the four seasons so children can learn the story out loud, planning and also a word mat for vocabulary and spelling.

These SPAG assessments have been designed to be half termly with a score so that you can easily see gaps in children's learning. There are a variety of questions and covers the whole of the year 1 and 2 curriculum. Year 1 have 5 assessments that can start from autumn half term and Year 2 have 4 assessments. Please see the other assessments I have uploaded for other areas of the KS1 curriculum.

I have created this intervention for KS1 classes for a group intervention. This is designed for children who have gaps in Phase 3 spelling skills. Look out for my Phase 5 version too! This is a whole terms intervention and I have seen amazing results from using these plans with small groups of children. I suggest doing a phase 3 spelling test and then picking the plans suited to the group to tailor the intervention.

This includes a lesson and teaching powerpoint that can be adapted to develop reasoning skills too. I used this over a few days to ensure understanding.

Created a simple worksheet for children to map the story of Rosie’s Walk

I created these to have an author focus every fortnight in our reading area. The authors include Clare Freedman, Jill Murphy, Martin Waddell, Mick Inkpen, Oliver Jeffers, Sue Hendra.

I created these powerpoints to support parents to deliver phonics at home to their children. I showed them the outline of the powerpoint and then the parents were able to follow the same structure each day. I have also used these for small group interventions with Year 1/2 children. My KS2 colleagues have also found these useful too. There are 52 powerpoints which equates to 10 weeks worth of phonics intervention. Any questions please ask

This is a non-fiction unit using the story “When Granny went to Market” where she flies around the world on a magic carpet visiting different countries. The class all jumped on a flying carpet (rug) and we visited different countries with props too. Planning resources and powerpoints all included.

Created a file for every year group to have a list of Computing Vocabulary to share when doing computing skills.

These are a set of arithmetic challenges that are differentiated starting from the simplest number facts to more challenging number facts. The children enjoyed working on these spotting patterns, doubles, adding zero/ one etc and also spotting when it was subtracting or adding. I have added my examples and a blank to create your own.

These are sets of CEW words put into reading and spelling progression that have been used across the KS1 to ensure all children can read and spell these words. They have been put on shapes too to help with recognition (love a bit of cross curricular!!)

These resources are based around the book “Monstersaurus”. I created instructions that Year 1 children can read using their phonic knowledge and then also created their own instructions too.
