Differentiated worksheets. Children are required to find the numbers they need to add together using a key and to write their own number sentence. LA have + and = symbols given. Used during our farm topic!
Used at the end of year 1 as a different way to show multiplication and division using a triangle to support. Children use the triangle to find 2 multiplication and 2 division sentences using the same digits from the triangle. For my higher ability children I cut out the different families and mixed them so they had to really concentrate on what they were doing.
I split my class into mixed ability groups and ask them to answer the subtraction questions using resources of their own choosing. The questions go from LAP-AAP-AAP+-HAP. Children love working together to work out as many as possible!
Space for child's name. Simply tick if sound is correct . for omission. You could also record what sound they said instead for analysis. this is a very easy way to find teaching gaps.
Y1 Fraction Dominoes - whole, half and quarter
A way to get your children to see whole, half and quarter in a variety of ways :) I found this resource useful as my class were getting used to the half, quarter and whole of a 'pizza' that we see everywhere.

A simple dice game. Children to roll a dice and read the corresponding fraction. The child then chooses a shape to colour. The first child to colour 4 shapes correctly in a row wins!
A great way to encourage some greater depth thinking within position and direction.
A few activities to encourage the use of key words. For higher ability children the key words could be removed. For Lower ability children their answers could be scribed for them and made practical using apparatus/resources.**
Children to find the missing numbers. Could be a mental and oral activity or a main teach using a number line/cubes/numicon within Year 1 or for an intervention.

A great way to secure fact family knowledge and understanding.Can children manipulate the numbers given to them. Could they reason and explain how they know? Eg. ‘The biggest number must be at the front to be shared. The 2 smallest numbers multiply to make the biggest number.’
Children to record different ways of making the number in the star. It could be just addition, subtraction or mixed. You could also edit for multiplication further up school. My children always come up with some great ways and this is a great way to assess the children's recall and mental ability before teaching calculation.

A matching activity.
Print and laminate, cut out the animals and match them with the correct parent/baby.
Alternatively could be printed and children required to glue them into the correct places. A full word list added so children can label and name the animals too :)
Phonics and reading plan based on the use of letter and sounds through phonics bug.
Assessments are outlined, tricky words and reading objectives for each year group.
A great start for a phonics lead to begin writing a program for the school to follow and adhere to.
A tower which can be laminated and used as a great starter or lesson within KS1/Lower key stage.
Children are required to get down the timer by mentally adding or using resources.
Resources also comes with some key questions to extend the activity. Could be used to extend higher ability to think in a higher order way by guessing first before carrying out addition. 'How did you know?' type questions.

A great resource to hit the objective ‘Use related multiplication facts to reason’
A Knowledge Organiser to give children, parents and teachers the key facts that need to be learned and retained.
This ‘mat’ would be referred to throughout the topic. Children would be required to use vocabulary within their writing and in speech to show understanding. Key dates should be recalled.
