A short version of Alan’s Big Scary Teeth by Jarvis for use as a Talk 4 Writing model text in Key Stage 1. Emphasis on character description and included adverbs and time connectives too. Also included is the story presented on slides with pictures as a story book. Super fun to teach with actions. Innovations on this have been pirate themed and alien themed. Both produced great results from the children.

Text includes ‘power of 3’ adjectives and similes. In this bundle you have the model text, annotated text for teachers and a story map (picture prompts version). A collection of 19 myths and legends from around the world. These are around 250 words each in length. They were created for Year 3 to learn and retell for an oral storytelling lesson. They could be used for many purposes in Years 1 to 6.
