Can be used as a model text example to work on character description and/or instructions for making a potion. Then as a format for writing a whole short story.
A written version of The Papaya That Spoke for use as a Talk 4 Writing model text in Key Stage 1. Emphasis on dialogue - speech verbs, punctuation, new speaker new line. Text includes ‘power of 3’ adjectives and similes.
In this bundle you have the model text, annotated text for teachers and a story map (picture prompts version).
(Also uploading a ‘big book’ picture version that I did not make but tweaked to match my version of the story. Not sure if allowed to reshare?!)
Super fun to teach with actions. Innovations can be written and also created on Puppet Pals usign iPads!
