This is an easy to play 30 minute dice game to practice 18 different regular French -RE verbs in the present and passé composé tenses.
My high school students love this game, and it can get very competitive if you decide to play it as a race (details are explained with the activity).
Students divide up into teams and play six versions of this dice game. The dice determine which subject and -RE verb to conjugate.
Included with this activity:
How to play
Six different versions of the game with answers
Student response and scoring sheet
This dice game is an especially fun way to practice while learning about the present tense and passé composé. All of the verbs in this activity use AVOIR as helping verb. More advanced students also benefit from the review.
There’s a lot of useful vocabulary for students to learn when we teach about CHEZ LE MÉDECIN. I have three activities that I love to use to get students talking and to reinforce all of the vocabulary they’ll need to talk about going to the doctor’s office or hospital.
These are the five vocabulary speaking activities that are included in this bundle. Just click on each link to read full details about each resource.
Want your French students to use their CHEZ LE MÉDECIN - DOCTEUR vocabulary? This NO PREP activity is a fun way to encourage your intermediate to advanced students to speak more.
Check out my bundle of themed vocabulary question sets to get your students speaking French: https://www.tes.com/us/teacher-lessons/french-themed-vocabulary-speaking-questions-growing-bundle-11573033
You can use it after learning specific vocabulary for doctors and hospitals or as a fun interactive activity on a day when you want to just focus on speaking and reviewing vocabulary in a different way.
There are 30 questions in all. All of the questions are asked in the TU form and require the answering student to respond using JE. More than half of the questions begin with an interrogative word encouraging more than OUI and NON responses. Questions are in the present, futur proche and passé composé tenses.
Topics used in these cards:
* Body parts
* Illnesses
* Symptoms
* Personal experiences
* Preferences
All cards are visually stimulating and feature a circle to punch out in the upper left corner so that you can print, laminate, cut out, punch holes and hook the cards together with a keyring. Have a look at the thumbnail to see how cute they turn out. Using these cards this way makes it easy to pull them out year after year to use as NO PREP speaking activities.
This is a comprehensive lesson on the French FUTUR ANTÉRIEUR tense. This is an 18 minute video lesson in which I explain and illustrate how to form the futur antérieur as well as how and when to use this tense. The illustrations are very clear and all examples are in written form. At the end of the video I talk students through a 10 question quiz in which they must decide whether to use the futur antérieur or the futur simple. All of the questions and answers are clearly written for students to see.
A version of the video lesson included in this bundle is on YouTube. However, this one is for you to use with your students and it is not the same. In your version of the video lesson there is no reference made to my website or to supporting my work in any way. This video lesson is entirely appropriate for your students with no marketing for Love Learning Languages included other than on the title page where the name of my store is written.
This is a set of 30 French FUTUR ANTÉRIEUR tense task cards + powerpoint that you can use in a number of ways with your students.
Each card has a sentence written in the futur simple and your students must transform the sentence to the futur antérieur. This is a nice cooperative speaking activity or if you choose you can use the task cards as a written assignment. A student response sheet is included if you decide to use the cards this way. I'm including a powerpoint version of the cards should you want to project them and have the whole class work together.
There's a nice mixture of common regular and irregular verbs to work with. There are verbs using both avoir and être as helping verb as well as a few reflexives (even two that don't require making agreement on the past participle as a challenge).
Students can work with a partner as a cooperative activity and to practice speaking or they can work individually to practice writing. Task cards are a nice alternative to worksheets which can sometimes seem tedious or boring.
Just print, cut out and laminate these cards and you're ready to go, no prep for years to come! If you look in the upper left corner you'll see a space where you can neatly punch a hole in each card and then connect them with a keyring. This really makes using these task cards easy enough to decide on using at the drop of a hat, and they make for fantastic review.
Included with this product:
30 futur antérieur task cards, black and white version
30 futur antérieur task cards, color version
Answer key
Student response sheet
Powerpoint version

A version of the video lesson included in this bundle is on YouTube. However, the one included for you to use with your students is not the same. It is the end of the year and your French AP students have already taken their test, or your French 4 seniors have practically checked out. What can you do with them that will keep them speaking French during those last days of the school year? Students love talking to each other, and especially at the end of senior year there is a lot to reflect upon.
This is a set of 15 reflection questions that you can print, laminate, punch holes in and cut out before hooking the complete set together on a ring. You'll be able to use these reflection questions for years to come.
In the upper left corner of each card there is a circle which indicates where you should punch the hole so that your set of cards comes out nice and neat.
I have my students work with partners or in small groups to answer the questions orally. At the end of the year and after testing I don't require them to write any answers down on paper, but of course it is up to you. If you wanted to do something kind of fun with the cards you could alternatively play a game of SCOOT and have students write out their answers.
The grammar used in these reflection questions is high level and will keep them on their toes!
Playing French TABOO is a great way to get students to speak French and learn a lot of new vocabulary. This game is simple to modify and use with beginners and advanced students alike. In this HÔTEL theme version of the game there 60 French-English cards. There are 2 fun ways to play this fun vocabulary game and both are explained in the instructions.
This French Taboo game includes the following:

Sheet to record new words in French and English (nouveaux mots)
*In the upper left corner there's a spot for you to punch holes in the cards so that you can then attach them with a ring for no prep use every time. Be sure to laminate if possible!
Object of the game:
One player tries to get his teammate to guess the word at the top of a card. The player must give clues, but he can't use any of the Taboo words in his description. The taboo words are written beneath the word at the top of the card. Teams score points for each word successfully guessed. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.
Beginner students should be allowed to use the TABOO words printed on the cards. This will encourage them to use new vocabulary and will help them in forming sentences to use as clues.

ESL Scattergories Game
This is a really fun activity to play with your students as they practice and build their vocabulary. Scattergories is the perfect game! You can play this game with students of literally any age or level.
Players attempt to create answers for each of the four categories on their game. This should be a fast moving game and there are only spaces for six words per category. The MAXIMUM they can write is six words so they have to choose them wisely. Students can be creative and flexible with their answers, but other players can challenge them!
24 games are included with 96 different categories! You can either print out the game sheets or project them to save paper and ink. For younger students you can allow more time for them to think and write, while older students will love the challenge of the timer.
