This is a ten day plan for the book The Bear and the Piano. My class really enjoyed the book and I got fantastic writing results. Included in the resource are my plans, worksheets and presentations. They are in word and pdf and notebooks have been converted to power points too. This is planned for a year 2 class but can be adapted to suit other classes.

Using the language associated with Bee Bots, children navigate around the board to find different cities.

My class looked at the past and our decade was the 1990's. As part of our topic we looked at different items from the 1990's, TV programmes and popular toys. The children took the sheets and used the computers to research the toy name and programme to label the pictures correctly.

A unit of work that I created to support work on Grandads Island (our literacy unit) science, topic, DT. The children enjoyed this unit and had fun making weather equipment and salads!

Grids 2-9 to aid multiplication of 2-digit and 1-digit numbers using concrete materials. The grids are more suited to the use of place value coins rather than base ten. Can also be used for repeated addition.

These common exception word lists have been created so that they fit inside word books 8 inches by 4 inches. As a teacher I have places year 1 words at the front of the book and year 2 words at the back for year 1s and vice versa for year 2. When children refer to spellings we can show them where to find them.

A unit of work based on the national curriculum units - Identify and represent numbers using objects and pictorial representations including the number line, and use of the language of equal to, more than, less than, most, least. In preparation for the year 1 phonics test, I created these for my class to become familiar with words that sound the same but have different spelling patterns. There are 8 games in total.
