Hello, I've been a qualified teacher in Denmark for 8 years. My main subjects are Danish, English and PE. The best thing about teaching is when my students are learning while having fun at the same time. I have always admired some of my skilled and gifted teachers from my own time in school, but I've also had the idea that I might make an even better teacher one day. I hope you will take your time to read this and check out my resources, and you're more than welcome to write me on FB.

Please leave a review ! :) This unit of work will give your students a more improved understanding of the influence of the British community in the world of today and through history. The compendium, the powerpoint and the assessment/evaluation sheet are all part of the same teaching course. I didn’t add a lesson plan, because I think it gives you more liberty to implement it the way you see fit in your class. Download now, while it’s still free :) Be my guest and go to my shop and write me on Facebook, in case you have any questions or simply want to share a brilliant resource of your own. Enjoy!

Having worked for 8 years as a qualified teacher in Denmark, I’ve developed a bundle of icebreakers for English language learners. Improving another language ought to be spiced with both fun and engaging activities. I usually use one of my speedtivities (which I’ve named them) in the beginning of the lesson to help them transfer the students’ language. Especially, “Team up and compete” , “The boom game” and “My favourite recipe” help in that regard. Please do pop a review, if you choose to download this resource. You’re also more than welcome to purchase one of my other resources for a reasonable price.

5 min activity: Time to speak English!

This power point is aimed for ESL-students to ensure they get to practice their oral English in each lesson. I usually start my class by showing the topic, where I briefly explain and translate some of the difficult/new words from the slide. I always do this to make sure that all of my pupils are equally prepared for the conversation. Besides the power point, this resource consists of another word file that is connected to the content of the main activity. If you end up buying this resource, please let me know what you think, and most importantly, whether it boosts your students confidence in speaking more English.

This tasks gives the students an oppurtunity to talk about the various pronouns and get an overview of how many there are. I usually use this exercise as an introduction before giving more tasks how pronouns function. Additionally, the task has been differentiated into 3 levels - easy, medium and hard - depending on the level of each of your student. Please leave a quick comment, in case you decide to purchase this item. The exercise comes both as a pdf and a word file (if you want your students to fill it out digitally).

Purchasing this resources grants you access to: A task-based teaching course Permission sheets - in case you want to clone your students A handout sheet to your students explaining the final class project Since I’ve already tried this teaching course and final class project with my English class, I would recommend informing and addressing the parents to avoid any conflicts about the cloning part (which should be entirely optional). Finally, I simply used a hard box of plastic to vessel the students’ contributions to our future descendants (mostly digital content on an USB-pin).
