Get students into the routine of creative “time plans” ready for KS4. This is a template for printing so that students can convert recipes into time plan format. This is in Word document format but could be converted into PDF.
I have used these as a homework task for students, where they prepare a time plan from a recipe using leftovers. This format requires students to put an ingredients list into food groups and then separate their equipment list into categories. Plus students have to break down the recipe into simple steps, thinking about the time it would take to do each and any safety considerations for each instructions.
This is a really good resource to get students well rehearsed at timeplans.
