A great starter for a Functional Skills English Lesson

This is a PPT, aimed at KS4 learners. It gives students information about online grooming and contains real life case studies.
It features Kayleigh’s Love Story, which tells the story of Kayleigh Haywood , who was a 15-year-old schoolgirl from Measham in North West Leicestershire. She received an unsolicited Facebook message from a man she did not know on Saturday 31 October 2015. Fifteen days later, she was murdered.
A video is attached which may cause distress for some viewers.
Information included in the PPT, is sourced from various websites.
Teambuilding: Lost At Sea Who Will Survive Game / Activity.
This PPT has been adapted from a team building ‘Lost at Sea’ task that I found online ( https://insight.typepad.co.uk/lost_at_sea.pdf )
I have made it into a fun PPT which explains the activity, the rules and gives instructions on how to play this game.
I have also added a game sheet which I have adapted so that learners can work in groups.
My learners had fun completing this task.

Uniformed Public Services - Communication Module - Bingo Game ( 3X3)
Instructions: Cut out the words on the grid sheet and place them inside a container. Give each player a bingo card ( cut out each bingo card ). As you draw a word from the container, ask the players to cross them out on their grid sheet. The first player who gets 3 in a row, wins!
Harry Potter & The Fantastic Beasts English PPT & Worksheet Task
Get your learners to create their own magical creature to add to ‘Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them’ book.
They will start by looking at an extract from the book and doing a task on this. Then they will begin to create their own creature.
