Add Two or More Fractions Lesson
A worksheet that focuses on the objective from Year 5 Spring White Rose Maths for Multiplication and Division for multiplying a 2-digit number by a 2-digit number using the area model. Included are practise questions as well as problem solving/ reasoning style questions. Answers are also included separately.
A lesson that focuses on being able to introduce the Americas.
Included in the lesson is:
A lesson presentation that includes maps of North America and South America to discuss as well as some introductory information to the continents. This is finished off with some true or false questions.
A recap task (this lesson is the third in a sequence having focused on continents, oceans etc.) which can be used or ignored as the lesson can stand alone or if children have been taught about continents, Equator and hemisphere then they can complete this. An answer sheet is also included for the recap task.
An independent activity that includes identifying the two continents, true or false questions and sorting countries into which continent they are part of. There is also an extension task to then research and make notes on any country from either continent. A lesson aimed at the Year 3 Science unit of Animals including Humans. This lesson is the fourth lesson of a sequence, looking at organs. The lesson presentation includes a recap task looking at prior learning from a previous lesson (can easily be discarded if you are using this as a stand alone lesson) key vocabulary and discussion around some of the different organs in the body and the role they play.
This is then followed by an independent activity working on applying the learning about organs and what they do. This is then followed by a challenge task to create a replica body with organs in the right place based on a provided image. Three differentiated resources used with Year 5 children to work on antonyms and synonyms. The first activity requires children to find five antonyms and five synonyms for each word listed. The second activity begins with a similar activity to the first activity, before moving on to a passage where children have to replace the underlined words with synonyms. The third activity starts with an activity where children have to replace the underlined words with synonyms before moving on to a passage where they have to pick out words they can replace with synonyms.
A worksheet that gets children to focus on subordinating conjunctions by getting them to identify the subordinating conjunction being used in each sentence.
