Both assessments are uploaded separately but have been uploaded together for ease where people want both. History and Geography assessment grids from Year 1 to 6 that can be used to check children's understanding and use as a progress measure if wished. These are to be used as best fit as there may be some areas they are weaker/ more confident in with the aim being a best fit judgement. I created these as there appears to be a gap in both history and geography assessment at the minute in primary schools since the move to assessment without levels. This enables schools to have something in place for a foundation subject that links well to other curricular areas, as well as showing an assessment system should visitors wish to know how you monitor progress.

A bank of questions from previous SATs papers including the sample tests that focus on addition and subtraction. These have all been pulled from the reasoning papers so they can be used to challenge children’s understanding or can be used as a mini-assessment of how children are with addition and subtraction.

A fact file about Nelson Mandela that is also a reading comprehension. This includes three differentiated worksheets with 16 questions each and answers included to test children's comprehension knowledge as well as learning about Nelson Mandela at the same time.

Mini-assessments that cover nearly all of the curriculum statements for Year 5 Maths. The only statements missing relate to estimations and some of the shape statements. The idea is that if they can do a particular question without any teaching or a few weeks after some teaching then you have the evidence to tick and say they can do it. Question 1 generally relates to beginning, 2 is middleish with the third question then helping show they are secure in that statement.

Reading comprehensions related to Pokemon to try and engage children whilst also developing their comprehension skills. Included is a fact file about Pikachu with three differentiated sets of 10 questions with the answers included.

A ten lesson unit of work based on place value for Year 6. Included are all the required PowerPoints that also include arithmetic starters. Each lesson/ double lesson has a worksheet activity that includes the answers as well as challenge activities for those that are confident to deepen their understanding. A presentation that includes 195 past questions that can be used as a revision tool for Year 6 Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling or that can be used to pick and choose from for starter questions in English sessions. Questions are taken from the sample paper as well as the 2016, 2017 and 2018 paper. Easily usable as talking points with children practising a question at a time before then discussing the answer and why that is the case.

A range of plans for teaching different areas of the P.E curriculum that were used for Years 5 and 6. Includes different drills and how to differentiate activities within each one. May require you to have particular equipment in school which is why I have shared them for free. Youtube is a great added resource for showing professionals play and master different skills or for teaching yourself if you are low on confidence.

A presentation that introduces Ancient Egyptian pyramids to children, looking at why they were built, how they were built and how they were used. Also included are three potential activities that could be used with children, with all potential answers being found within the PowerPoint.

A set of lesson slides and differentiated worksheets that focus on abstract nouns as well as recapping other nouns. Written for Year 5 but easily adaptable for other year groups.

Created for 5/6 but could be used for Year 4. The aim is to correctly punctuate celebrities tweets, pre-dominantly looking at capital letters and full stops as well as then looking at commas and semi-colons. Builds in to spelling as well by editing the spellings of certain words for children to then spot. First two pages are aimed at LA, pages 3 and 4 and for MA with pages 5 and 6 aimed at HA.

A word mat/ poster of generalisers and how they can be used in sentences to help with writing in information texts to help children who may struggle for ideas.

A spelling test based on words from the Year 5/6 statutory spelling list. There are 20 spellings used in sentences to try and replicate the Year 6 spelling test, with the answer page being used by the adult to read out the spelling.
