Lesson plans, worksheets and slides for running two lessons on writing problems algebraically. These were written for Year 6 but can easily be used in other year groups as well.
The worksheets have written with mastery in mind and so follow the following structure:

A pack of ten different activities linked to human organs to support learning in different ways.
The ten activities include:

A lesson that focuses on being able to recap word classes with a particular focus on nouns and adjectives.
Included in the resource is a lesson PowerPoint that recaps regularly as a class what a noun, verb, adjective and adverb are before focusing particularly on nouns (with a focus on common and proper nouns) and adjectives.
Also included are five different activities to choose from depending on which is most appropriate for your class or that can then be chosen for specific groups of children. Answers are included where possible. These activities include:

A hunt to find Santa’s sleigh by breaking the clues and solving which country he has left his sleigh in.
Written with Year 6 in mind and based on the key four operations, each clue requires children to either use addition, subtraction, multiplication or division to solve the various clues. Acts as a useful revision tool while also giving a Christmas element. Answers are also included separately for what the clue is.
Links can also be made with geography by getting children to use maps and make predictions at the end of each clue.

A fully-resourced double lesson that focuses on introducing expanded noun phrases.
The first lesson focuses on being able to identify the determiner, adjective/s and nouns before taking examples of expanded noun-phrases and placing them in sentences.
The second lesson then follows up by working on creating examples of expanded noun-phrases from images and given noun phrases.

Three presentations that can be used to run lessons on triangles.
1) A lesson presentation used for introducing calculating the perimeter of a triangle. Included in the presentation is what perimeter is, how to calculate the perimeter of a triangle, different types of triangles, practise questions to practise calculating the perimeter of a triangle and questions that make children apply the rules they know in a slightly different way.
2) A lesson presentation used for introducing calculating the area of a triangle. Included in the presentation is what area is, how to calculate the area of a triangle, practise questions to practise calculating the area of a triangle and questions that make children apply the rules they know in a slightly different way.
3) A lesson presentation used for introducing angles in a triangle. Included in the presentation is the different types of triangles, different types of angles, total angles in a triangle and practise questions that get children to calculate the missing angle/ think about triangle properties carefully.
A lesson presentation on the = sign, considering what it represents and how it can be moved around. Included in this is practise questions to check children's understanding.
