This could be taught across 2 to 3 hours. This looks at the Black Death and the causes, symptoms. Lots of differentiation to enable and support higher and lower ability pupils. There are also lots of opportunities in the lessons to encourage independent learning, group work, solo work. This includes a literacy mat, 2 x lesson plans , 2 x powerpoint presentations, writing frames to write a diary entry.
