Landform Examples Card Sort
Many landforms are created by glaciers, gravity, water, or wind through the processes of erosion and deposition. This card sort is a quick and easy way to compare and contrast these processes as well as reinforce science vocabulary. It includes 24 different picture examples of landforms created by erosion or deposition. Cards can be sorted by what process they show (erosion or deposition), what causes the process (glaciers, gravity, water, wind) or both. The pictures come in 3 different sizes, with differentiated sorting sheets and answer keys. Laminate the larger pictures to use as a center or station activity, use the sorting sheets with smaller pictures as notes in interactive notebooks, a homework assignment or formative assessment.
