Component 1 Section A GCSE Media Studies
Approx. 3/4 lessons based this set product and the Representation of gender and ethnicity for Eduqas GCSE media studies. Including SAMS exam style questions and mark scheme and a comparison to an unseen modern film poster.
AN UPDATED SOW on Formation for Component 1 Section A Eduqas A Level Media Studies. This is a more refined scheme with detailed and comprehensive lessons which are intended to be taught over a number of weeks. All elements of the theoretical framework are covered: media language, genre, representations, technical codes, theory, contexts.
A full SoW on this set product for Component 1 Section B which explores: context, industry and audience and includes a lesson on how to approach the ‘stepped questions’ in section B looking at SAMS and exam questions which are NOT SAMS (the SAMS mark scheme can be used as a guide for marking these). Makes use of the Eduqas year 1 and 2 A Level textbooks.
A full scheme of work of approx. 5 lessons on Component 1 Section B for Eduqas GCSE Media. These lessons cover all areas of the framework and exam questions which are NOT SAMS - one is from an Eduqas sample paper and the other is of my own design (the SAMS mark scheme can be used for this one) there is also a lesson which explores how to approach the ‘stepped’ questions in section B and gives advice on timing and command words. Also makes use of the Eduqas GCSE textbook.
A new and improved scheme of lessons on Pride and GQ for Eduqas GCSE media. Lessons cover: media language, contexts, representations, media theory. This also includes lessons on more challenging theory such as bell hooks (taken from the A Level spec) and an unseen comparison with an example essay from a student!
Grade boundaries for: overall qualification (taken from Eduqas), individual units, individual questions. This can be used to provide students with a ‘grade’ for every piece of work they complete whether that be an exam style question or Mock exam.
This is based on the 1 - 9 boundaries from Summer 2019.
