First lesson on memory - going through expectations, input, encoding, storage retrieval. Discussing why memory important for survival. (50 min)

Lesson 6 - Goes through retro and proactive interference. Includes evaluation and examples and questions.

Lesson looks at the social and dispositional factors influencing conformity. Key Study: Asch, my students enjoyed spotting the differences activity. Students learn factors by doing carousel activity or it can be done teacher lead.

A powerpoint and small work booklet that covers the idiographic and nomothetic debate in psychology. Students can work through booklet - powerpoint accompanies this and provides teacher answers and further evaluation. Also includes 6 mark question with model answer.

Whole lesson. The first lesson of the year delivered to Y12. It gives an outline of the course, equipment and attitude checklist. Then moves on the origins of psychology, introspection and psychology as science with evaluation. Mini whiteboard (ABCD/TRUE-FALSE Plenary to check progress). - I also hand out the Y12 content checklist at this point and ask them to tick of Wundt at the end.

Lesson 2 on relationships - looking at Self Disclosure as an aspect of SPT. Colour coding evaluation activity where students must match the evidence and link to the original point to create fully developed evaluation. Created to address the phobias section of AQA AS specification for Unit 2. Bundle contains 3 lessons (approx 3-4 hours). Also useful for Y13 revision. Lesson 1: Characteristics of phobias -Students watch an episode of Extreme Phobias, Extreme Cures to complete the emotional, cognitive and behavioural characteristics of phobias (students enjoyed this) Lesson 2: Behaviourist explanation of phobias - two process model. Includes evaluation (SLT, Preparedness etc). Lesson 3: Behaviourist treatments (flooding and SD). Student task is to create an information leaflet. Evaluation is included throughout and the episodes of the programme are really good for discussion the characteristics, explanation and treatments as well as definitions of abnormality. All information is on powerpoint so good for non-specialists also. Lots of videos - links in notes section.

AQA GCSE Psychology - Lesson goes through the use of case studies in psychological research, students have the opportunity to research famous case studies. Strengths and weaknesses activity aimed at developing students explanations.

Lesson 5 - Students recreate Loftus and Plamers car crash study. Watch a TED talks video (17 min) about false memories with set questions and answers. Evaluation of false memories and twitter plenary.

Lesson 2: Introduces students to the nature of experimental methods, then students complete a carousel activity on the different types of experiments (Lab, field, natural).

Approx 3 lessons. Goes through the social and dispositional factors that influence obedience. Linking to Milgram's study. Crossword activity can be used as homework.

AQA Psychology, GCSE (new spec) - Lesson goes through types of observations, overt and covert, participant and non-participant, as well as categories of behaviour and establishing inter-observer reliability. Application to video clip - secret life of 5 year olds. Option for students to research famous observational studies if you have access to computers, or could be set as homework. My GCSE students enjoyed this lesson. This lesson can also be used to revise A-Level (just need to add event and time sampling). Approx 60-100 min.

Lesson starts by looking at standard police interview then moves on to the 4 techniques used in the CI interview. Includes evaluation. The four techniques could be delivered by teacher or printed off and ask students to move around the room and make notes.

Lesson 3 - Full lesson going through the key assumptions of SLT including mediational processes. Hand-out with Bandura's study. Application based question for students to apply knowledge. Colour coding evaluation task. - also included a activities that I haven't used in this lesson but may be useful.

Created as a revision lesson for Y12 and Y13 psychology students studying the AQA psychology specification. It goes through the importance of statistical testing, type 1 and type 2 errors, levels of measurement, before going through the sign test and chi -square. The sign test is delivered using a chocolate experiment but this can be tweaked and your own results entered. Use the powerpoint along with a booklet to allow students to make notes and answer exam style questions. It comes with a lesson plan as it was for an observation. Price reflects the time and effort that went into making this. Approx 60 min lesson-90 min lesson.
