There are 3 games on the sheet. Game 1, each child chooses 4 items of clothing from the illustrated vocab given, and writes them in game 1 column. Then the first learners to tick off their 4 items are the winners.

I teach the body parts with a game of simon says. The learners match body parts to words on a sheet, then after a quick revision of numbers 1-5 learners comment on the monsters. Then they choose one or more monsters to draw.

Pronunciation lesson with grocery vocab, asking a friend to pick things up from the shop for you, asking for items in a shop, using quantities, packages, and big numbers to describe what you want.

A little book which children can add their own name to and the name of their teddy. I use it with a different child each time.

A series of quotations with English translations. I give 3 groups a different set each, but I give them cut into jigsaws so learners can move them around and find the translation. Learners discuss the translations and the meanings, and decide on a quote to learn by heart and recite.

Learners read and prepare to perform a dialogue at the chemist's, describing symptoms and asking for medication.

Practice remembering the subject pronouns, learn the verb hablar and some useful phrases that include this word, match languages to countries in Europe and around the world, conduct a question and answer session with friends as themselves and role-playing other people, revise the lesson with excercises and animated slides.

Consider why the alphabet is useful. Practice the vowels in a catchy chant. Go through the sounds of the Spanish alphabet. Practice spelling words to your classmates. Think about spelling and how you feel about it. Spell out your names. Play the alphabet challenge with a friend.

For anyone not familiar with the game uno, your object is to be the first to get rid of your cards, having put down on a similar colour or number/ instruction. These cards have no number figures or colours, just words, so before the children play they may choose to colour the cards and add the symbols, or they can just cut them out and play as they are. I encourage learners to say the Spanish aloud and challenge each other on the meaning.

The monster is a group of 3 children under a sheet. We find out how many of each body part it has by asking it. The monster sticks eg. its arms out from under the sheet and we count them.

A very simple document which turns into an 8 page book when copied on both sides. The children complete what they do on each day with words and pictures before presenting it to their friends, using the Spanish words for the days.
