New GCSE Lit: Complete Macbeth SOW

Designed specifically for grade 9 for the new GCSE literature examinations, this detailed SOW prepares students perfectly for new EDEXCEL GCSE papers (although this unit of work works pretty much seamlessly with all other specifications). The lessons are designed to be engaging (through numerous drama activities) but also with grade nine very much the target with various A-level style analytical tasks. There is no other Shakespeare SOW which comes close to the level of detail and sophistication that this has to offer.

AQA revision checklist

This is a nice resource to use as a starter with your exam classes. The checklist lists all of the exam questions for AQA language and literature and asks students to note down how secure they are regarding the method for each. This process is then applied to the Conflict section of the anthology. A useful task for you and the students which can then quickly help to inform your planning for future revision lessons.
