Includes very detailed resoures- source analysis, questions newspaper task, steps to war chronology task and paired work. Designed for high challenge Year 9 teaching but detailed enough for KS4 units on Conflict and Tension. Very comprehensive for non-specialists and specialists alike. Causes of WWI Introduction Lesson

This lesson is a fun and unusual way of introducing the great powers in 1900 and getting pupils to think about International Relations. I took the idea from a version of this at my training school but this is 100% my own version of it with added ridiculousness. It is by far the best introduction to International Relations for KS3 I have ever done. I’ve also used it for Year 10 studying International Relations pre WWI and it worked very well. Includes all resources: Map of house, card sort, powerpoint, instructions for students and teacher and homework
