This is a worksheet I created based on the goals scored of 4 teams in the Premier League during the 2011-2012 season. The class work out the mean, median, mode and range goals scored for each from the frequency tables given. Blank columns are given for the students to use, this could easily be differentiated for lower ability classes.

I used this question as a starter to consolidate learning of simultaneous equations with a top set year 10 class. Would work well as a plenary too? The question gets the students to form the simulatenous equations 1st based on a worded question using the characters from Finding Nemo!

Here is an Individual Target Tracker sheet I stick into the front of my student's ex. books. I get my classes to regularly set themselves targets based on my markings and feedback I put in their books. I then sign off their targets once they have evidence to prove where they have met them. I reward my classes when they have reached a target they have set themselves.

Here's a set of 50 Mathematics Taboo Cards I have created; easy to change the Key words/taboo words as needed. I print these out, laminate them and then use them in class for revision or as a starter activity to engage students. Good for literacy across the curriculum.

I have put together a set of templates for the diagrams students need to draw. In my experience they moan and groan about having to draw these and so these templates provide as a solution to this, and also differentiate for those that need help drawing the diagrams. Here I have a Pie Chart, Stem & Leaf, 2-way Stem é Leaf, Mean from Grouped Frequency Table, Frequency Density Table, Box Plot, and a 4 quadrant template. I have printed the required template as a handout so each student has a set of templates to use during the lesson.

I have put together these sets of questions for students to practise their calculator skills ahead of the GCSE Calculator Paper. The questions involve students typing in a calculation into their calculators, writing down all the digits on their calculator display and then rounding their answers to a given number of either decimal places or significant figures. I aim to use these as a starter in each lesson/revision session leading up to the calculator paper. Answers included.

This bundle includes: Solving Equations (Unknowns on Both Sides), Solving Equations (Including Brackets &/or Fractions) & Evaluating Indices. An engaging activity for students to consolidate their learning. Students answer the questions on the sheet and then, once they have the answer, colour in the corresponding section of the large grid to create a pattern. This notebook contains a whole lesson/number of lessons on using algebra to prove statements such as the sum of three consecutive numbers being a multiple of 6. Starter activity includes writing expressions for certain numbers as well as expanding and simplifying brackets. Lots of examples and investigative tasks for students to attempt. Questions to give to your students and plenary activities to review their learning.
