This expectation card has been designed specifically for students who are sent outside of the classroom, either to cool down or to reflect on their current disruptive behaviour. The card reminds students of the expectations of the school and on the back gives them advice on what to do next in order to get them back on task. Can be adapted to meet different school’s expectations and behaviour policies.
This resource contains a detailed writing frame for students to follow whilst practicing a typical GCSE style question. Complete with graded frames from 4-7 to guide students into making progress into higher levels and specific quotes from all the main characters in Macbeth, to further support their answers.
This resource is specific to the new GCSE English Language Paper 2 specification and is an aid for students answering each question. Questions 2-5 all have a check box for students to tick off, to ensure they are including the correct parts of their answer. Brilliant for bottom set students who struggle to write down their ideas.

This resource contains three employability sessions aimed at Year 10 students in secondary school through to Year 12 students embarking on Further Education. With the introduction of the up and coming T-Levels in 2020 and onwards, schools and colleges now need to prepare our young people for the world and work more than ever before and so these sessions aim to best prepare students. Session one “Finding a Work Placement” is to help students approach employers by themselves and how to dress appropriately, what to say and do etc before they start their initail placement. Session two “Confidence in the Work Place” is to highlight a students skill set, strengths and weaknesses and what a placement will consist of to develop weaker skill sets. Session three “Placement Review” is for students who have completed a CV or need to start from scratch writing a CV and shows students how best to make use of their work placement experience, reflecting on their time on a work placement and to consider plans for the future. Alongside this resource is an “Employability Skills Booklet” that allows students to track their sessions by making notes and writing down their ideas.
With all this uncertainty about school closures and lock downs coming up, I have created a 4 week activity timetable for you to do with your children (should we all be stuck inside our homes for the foreseeable future!).
As I’m sure you are all aware, keeping children entertained under these circumstances is going to be difficult so I really hope this activity timetable is useful to some of you. It’s cost friendly and I have based the majority of activities inside the home.
This takeaway homework menu is aimed at KS4 students who are studying OCR 2- Fractions, Decimals and Percentages. The menu has differentiated tasks from Extra Mild through to Extra Hot and makes learning fun! Students can be expected to complete one task from the menu each week and choose a different spice strength to help them practice harder questions. All questions included are from both Foundation and Higher tiers. For some of the harder questions I have attached Index extracts on separate slides. I would encourage students to try these questions without a calculator and/or show all their workings out for each question.
