Leaflet Activity Handout which provides students instructions on completing a task on hand washing, uniforms, personal hygiene, PPE etc. This was originally created for a year 9 LA GCSE Health & Social Care group but can be amended to suit other abilities/ages.

Some detailed lessons and other student resources on research methods which were originally tailored for an Access to HE Course but will also be useful for students embarking on an EPQ or for A-Level students who are exploring research methods. There are two versions of an interactive tutorial lesson, one aimed at health and another aimed at sociology research projects. There are activities on questionnaire writing, interviews, data analysis, ethics and report writing structure. These resources would need to be delivered over a series of lessons. They will need adjusting to suit learners needs.

A lesson on genetically inherited disorders which includes whole class activities and discussions including Punnett diagrams across 36 slides on PowerPoint. Originally designed for Access to Health Professions students, this lesson contains activities and scenarios of a medical/healthcare nature.

You will need to have some coloured card of which you will cut each sheet into various regular shapes for students to participate in a silent jigsaw activity whereby they will only be able to use non-verbal communication. A basic PowerPoint compiling some previous exam questions for Ecology 1. Questions have answers on consecutive slides with references to the mark scheme. Could be used independently for student revision, as a class activity perhaps in the style of a quiz etc.

A very detailed, heavy session which covers various aspects of Atypcial Psychology, including activities for students. I would recommend re-formating to make slides more user friendly. Originally designed for Access to Higher Education but can be tweaked to fit A-Level specifications.

This lesson aims to provide them with an awareness so they are able to answer theory questions. I then arranged for St John Ambulance to come in to deliver a basic first aid course to students to gain their certificate. This could be amended to be delivered in tutorial or detail added to make it applicable to higher level BTEC or A-Level courses. This PowerPoint contains activities on how to call 999 and what to say, DR ABC protocol, risk assessment, basic treatment of unconsciousness, burns, bleeding, fractures, anaphylaxis and choking. Their are practical activities throughout with instructions which include scenarios. You would benefit from basic first aid supplies e.g. gloves, bandages etc. CPR is not included in the lesson content due to health and safety implications and not having access to a resuscitation mannequin at the time of delivery. Teacher will need some basic prior knowledge to deliver this lesson.

A two part workshop style lesson based on presentation skills which was delivered across two days. It uses a health context, however, this can be adapted to any other subject area. The main lesson objectives are: To recap prior learning. To identify at least 3 poor presentation skills (starter activity). To reflect on areas of self-improvement in relation to presentation skills (self-audit). To utilize a strategy for planning an effective presentation. To deliver a professional presentation which delivers a clear message. The powerpoint contains student prompts for a carousel activity which will introduce them to the AMPM technique, and guidance on how to incorporate data into their presentations. All resources have been included, however you will also need two pieces of flipchart paper to enable students to mindmap 'Medium' and 'Message'. There is also minimal cutting needed for the presenter card sort which has also been included. The worksheet entitled 'audience' has also been included which completes the carousel activity. English, Maths, Employability and Equality & Diversity skills have been embedded throughout.

Lesson Focus: To be able to use psychological theory to explain why misconceptions of disability exist. Some student activities, contentious questions and relevant theory throughout. Originally aimed at Access to HE Learners but would also be appropriate for other courses. You may wish to use additional student focused activities to compliment this.

Whole lesson which was delivered over a full day of teaching. Students will research key theories and apply this to real life context. This is suitable for A-Level and Access to HE Learners. This PowerPoint is full of student activities and was originally created for Access to Higher Education Learners to be delivered over two days. This unit of work covers introduction to mental health and mental ill-health, defining mental health, diagnostic manuals and reliability of these, types of mental illness, data exploration activities and scenarios based on the current mental health crisis. I was observed twice throughout this unit and received a grade 1. There are lots of links which can be pulled out for lesson planning in terms of English, Maths, Employability and Equality and Diversity.
