The presentation is in A4 size, so the worksheets can be printed directly from the PowerPoint.
I have included a free song from the musical “The Sunflowers” which could be a starting point. There are 10 different areas in the Sunflower Project.
The one here concentrates on poetry. Rhyming words, opposites and comprehension are used in humorous poetry to encourage the child to write their own creations.
The sheets can be trimmed easily by the child so that they can be pasted into an A4 booklet.
The sunflower Project starts with the sowing of the sunflower seed and follows the observation through until Harvest. Each resource covers a curriculum area. The assumption is that natural science knowledge is absorbed through these various activities.
A PPT noting similarities and differences between the Global pandemics in the 14th, 17th and 21st centuries
There is also a spoken commentary and drum music in the background. The drum music could lead pupils to make their own as a background to their own PPTs
This song, along with the opportunity to move in the instrumental parts, is a good starter for topics on machines and brings a light hearted feel to the lesson. It’s effective in a class assembly and easy to sing.

This little song was inspired by Oliver Jeffers book “How to catch a star” .It is about a little boy who is desperate to catch a star. You’ll have to read the book to find out what happens! It can be used as a starting point for an Assembly with scope for movement and triangle players.
The song has a triangle part that the children are encouraged to listen out for and then play. I’ve also written a song based on the book “Lost and found “which is also by Oliver Jeffries.

Using the mp3s , you can substitute the name of animal you wish to sing about. The example here is the dragon. The song encourages the use of drum and cymbal as children celebrate the Chinese new year. The vocals sing of the dragon but any animal may be substituted when you use the backing track.
