I made this sheet based on the 'World Around Us' Geography topic. The children were to choose 1 activity a week to do at home. There are a range of activities from writing and maths to art and cookery. Lots of them encourage parental involvement. Suitable for KS2. I used this with Years 3 and 4

This is a complete lesson with notebook file and activities. The learning objective is- To explore and discuss religious art There is an activity sheet and resources including a notebook file that forms the whole lesson for you. This is a whole lesson. I used this with a mixed year 5/6 class for an observation by the head and a governor who said the lesson was 'outstanding' in old OFSTED terms! It worked well and the children enjoyed it.

I made these grids similar to the moderation sheets we use as teachers, but child friendly with pictures and examples to help the children understand what to look for in their writing. My children use these effectively and it also helps my teacher assessment and their understanding. It may help new year 6 teachers too! I made this unit of work based on 'The Hand' by Guy de Maupassant. It is great to do a short narrative HORROR unit with years 5 and 6 and my children loved it. You can get loads of descriptive writing out of them. The unit lasts 2+ weeks. This pack includes complete planning, 8 notebook files, the full text for the children and an assessment checklist. Hope it's useful to others and can all be adapted as needed. I removed all the names etc from my planning. But I reckon year 5 , 6 and 7 teachers could do a lot with all this ENJOY!!

I created these checklist cards as English Coordinator to help embed grammar throughout the school. The children can use them to assess when they have done a piece of writing. I used both the national curriculum and Pie Corbett's progression in writing to put these together. They are very visual and give examples. This is the year 5 one. Last year, we did the book 'Shackleton’s Journey and the children loved it! It is a power of reading book and also linked with our whole school topic of Ice. Here are my plans and lots of the notebook files I made- hopefully some people will find some of it useful.

In my role as DSL I recently created some safeguarding surveys for children , parents and staff to complete. I have also included the covering letter I sent to parents with their survey (obviously I have removed our details. I tried to make the children’s more visually using emojis. I used similar questions and changed them slightly for all 3 stakeholders. Please feel free to change my resources as you require- any questions please ask.
