I have been Head of RE, Pastoral Lead and Head of PSHE & Citizenship in my 19 year teaching career. I am currently Head of PSHE & Citizenship at a large secondary school 11-18. My shop includes: PSHE and Citizenship sessions, Assemblies, Tutor Time activities SMSC, Fundamental British Values and Religious Education. They are fully resourced RE or Citizenship lessons, worksheets or 15 minute assemblies/tutor time PSHE sessions suitable for 11-18 and some can also be used for younger audiences.

This is a 15 minute session on the importance of understanding the influence adverts have on us and explains subliminal messages etc. It links to the RSE & Health Curriculum as well as the wider PSHE and Citizenship curriculum and it is suitable for KS3 -KS5 (Years 7-13 Ages 11-18) but was originally planned as a PSHE tutor time session for Year 9. It contains downloaded videos, information, discussion questions and a plenary quiz.

This is a different session that my other ‘Positivity’ session. It is suitable for KS3-KS4 (Years 7-11, Ages 11-16) for a 15 minute assembly, tutor time or PSHE session. It can also be lengthened easily to make a whole lesson. It includes why we need to and how we can remain positive, information, downloaded videos and a plenary quiz and some questions to finish. This is linked to the new RSE and Health Curriculum and the general PSHE curriculum but it can be used as a tutor time session or an assembly.

This is a 10-15 minute session about domestic abuse suitable for PSHE, tutor time, assemblies or as a longer unit on domestic abuse in a PSHE lesson. It includes sources of support, types of abuse, definitions, key information, downloaded videos and has a plenary quiz. This was originally planned for Year 9 during tutor time but can be used throughout KS3 - KS5 (Years 7-13, Ages 11-18). It is linked to the new RSE and Health Curriculum and can also be used to complement the Keeping Safe in Education guidance. This has been received well by students and has taught them how to seek help if needed.

This session is suitable for a tutor time session, assembly or 60 minute lesson introducing PSHE. It also has a short downloaded video about its importance and then discusses the skills learnt and its importance to their lives. It also sets out some guidelines and has an activity to produce their own as a class. This is most suitable for a 10-15 minute tutor time session at the start of a year or to start your PSHE lessons off with the activity to creatively present the ground rules of the class on a tutor notice board or as a competition. This is a 15 minute session about the Plymouth attack in August 2021. It sums up what happened and introduces what the term incel means and what they believe. It has a downloaded news clip and discussion activities about gun laws. It also connects with Fundamental British Values and the UN Rights of a Child. There is no written activities, it was originally produced for a Citizenship tutor time session in September with KS3 - KS5 (Ages 11-18 Yrs 7-13). This is suitable for a whole school secondary audience as an introduction to incel culture and the tragic event in Plymouth over the Summer holidays.

This powerpoint is a narrated 10-15 minute session introducing the new cabinet which Boris revealed on 15th September 2021. It explains what a cabinet is, what a reshuffle is for and outlines who changed their roles or got promoted or sacked. It has a slide connecting it to British Values, a reflection slide and some discussion questions. It finishes with a quiz and links for further study and news stories. There is a downloaded short video clip showing the new cabinet to the students. This was originally delivered to Years 7-13 (KS3-KS5, Ages 11-18) in tutor time as a short introduction to the new Cabinet and to fit with the Citizenship curriculum and informing them on recent news connects to the PSHE syllabus. There are no written activities in this session but it could easily be lengthened to a whole lesson if needed. You can also remove the narration if you would prefer to do it yourself or leave it unnarrated for staff to deliver.

This is a 10-15 minute tutor time session for PSHE which covers the definitions and an introduction to Prevent, Extremism, Radicalisation and Terrorism. It was originally for a Year 7 PSHE session for tutor time but is suitable for all of KS3 and KS4 and can be used as an introduction lesson to my other Extremism assembly resource which goes into more detail. This resource has two downloaded video clips so they will never disappear and contains discussion activities and no written activities. This is a great introduction to the terms used in PSHE or Citizenship for Extremism.

This is a 10-15 minute tutor time session abour right wing extremism in the UK. It includes definitions, the names of groups and explains what the Prevent strategy is doing to try to prevent extremism. It focuses on discussion activities and includes the murder of Jo Cox in 1016 and mentions the recent Plymouth attack. There are two short video clips downloaded so they will never disappear. This can be used as an introduction to right wing extremism as part of the PSHE curriculum, an assembly for whole school secondary age pupils or can be easily added to in order to make a longer Citizenship session. It was originally a Year 8 tutor time resource for PSHE provision but can be used for KS3-KS5 (Years 7-13 Ages 11-18). There are no written activities in this presentation. There are many other resources in my shop for Extremism, Radicalisation and Terrorism.

This is a 10-15 minute session about organ donation which links in with the RSE and Health Curriculum for Secondary Schools. It can be used for an assembly, a tutor time session, a whole school event or a PSHE lesson. It can easily be lengthened to last a lesson and has been used successfully with KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Years 7-13, Ages 11-18) however it is also suitable for Upper KS2. It contains definitions, information, downloaded videos about what it is and the transplant process. It has a quiz plenary to ensure pupils’ understanding.

This is a 10-15 minute narrated assembly about dyslexia. It includes a short downloaded video which will never disappear and defines the condition, how it feels and the benefits of dyslexia looking at famous people with it. It goes through the problems someone with dyslexia has but also focuses on the strengths of having dyslexia. It also shows the students common misconceptions of dyslexia and finishes with an extension video if needed. You can easily delete the icon on each slide if you do not want it narrated. This was originally an assembly for Years 7-13 (Ages 11-18 KS3, KS4 and KS5) but it is also suitable for KS2. It can also be linked with the new RSHE curriculum, the PSHE curriculum or a whole school tutor time resource. There are no written activities in this presentation but it can easily be lengthened if it is needed for a longer lesson.
