GCSE Spanish verb drill tables - past, present and future tenses
Save £3 by buying all three tenses as a bundle!
Starter activity for GCSE Spanish
Different sheets to print out and laminate. Gap-fill on front, answers on back.
This resource is a work in progress and I plan on adding more in the future based on the different verb tenses covered in the new GCSE specification. The idea is for it to work as a starter activity and encourage independent work:
1. Students pick a card (difficulty level is highlighted at the top) and start to work by filling in the gaps with a dry-wipe marker.
2. Students refer to the GCSE Higher Spanish book (Oxford University Press) as much or as little as they need, either to read the instructions for the tense or grammar point first to refresh their memory or to refer to it as they do the activity.
3. Students self-assess their answers from the reverse of the card.
4. Students refer to the 'checklist' at the bottom with questions to prompt them, and note down any new verbs, endings, spellings etc in their books.
I plan on using this resource as a routine starter activity for one lesson a week. I hope that students will gain in confidence in conjugating verbs across tenses; these resources are designed to focus on one tense at a time, so over time students can self-select which tenses they need to practise and revise.
I welcome your feedback on this resource!
