I have a created a translation assessment based on Module 2 Viva GCSE Higher. It includes translations from Spanish to English and English to Spanish. Markscheme included.

An introduction to ordering the four drinks covered in lesson 1 and 2 using ‘quiero’. An introduction to extra features that might be needed when booking a hotel room (con baño, con ducha, con balcón, con vistas al mar). Activities include ‘match the pictures with the correct translation’, ‘listen to the clip and write down what each customer would like in their hotel room’, ‘translate an example hotel booking’ and ‘translation bingo’. All handouts included and audio files.

An introduction to the details required on a passport (fotografía, nombre, número de pasaporte, descripción, género, edad, país de origen). Handouts included and 1-10 recap with a bingo activity.

The third lesson of recapping four suitcase items (sunglasses, sun cream, swimsuit, cap). Handouts included. Speaking activity involves randomly putting the children into pairs and using a spinner wheel. The children should say the item out loud depending on the number the spinner wheel chooses.

A recap lesson based on lesson 1 and learning how to add key details on a passport template. Vocabulary includes fotografía, nombre, número de pasaporte, descripción, género, edad, país de origen. Activities include cutting out the picture related to each description and gluing them with their correct translation as well as starting to fill out key information on a passport template. Handouts included in powerpoint.
