Spanish Present Progressive Vowel Stem Verb Translations Worksheet - Students practice 4 present progressive vowel stem verbs and the verb ir. The 4 vowel stem verbs are oir, traer, caer and leer. The translations are English to Spanish and there are 5 for each verb. A sample translation is "Is she reading?" The answer key is included.

Opposites Vocabulary 4 x 4 Matching Squares Puzzle - Students assemble a 4 x 4 vocabulary puzzle with 30 adjectives and adverbs opposites words. Sample opposites words are: open/closed, light/dark, hot/cold, difficult/easy, and left/right. There are 15 sets of opposites. Several words are repeated which makes the puzzle more challenging. Just photocopy enough for a class set (1 for every 2 students if working in pairs, or 1 per student if working alone), cut and fasten with a paper clip. Distribute to students and challenge them to reassemble the puzzles as quickly as possible. All words are listed next to the puzzle. Students can write the opposites next to each word for a writing activity and can then use the list as an opposites bookmark.
Each booklet contains 12 pages: the title page with 11 additional pages. Also included are suggestions for using the booklets and an assembly instruction page. Students first cut, assemble and read the booklet that contains text and illustrations of words associated with fire safety. Sample words are smoke, crawl, fire, alarm, and fire hydrant. They then sketch and create their own version using the text only template. The illustration version can be projected in class to present, review and practice pronunciation of the vocabulary words. The text only version can be projected onto the Smart Board and students can draw pictures on the Smart Board that correspond to the text.
Spanish Preterit ER and IR Verbs Sentences With Direct Object Pronouns - Students translate 20 English to Spanish sentences containing er and ir verbs with direct object pronouns. Many also include adverbs of time such as today, yesterday, last night, and last week. All are regular except hacer which is used twice. Sample regular verbs are subir, escribir, vender and aprender. The Spanish verb and Spanish direct object are provided at the end of the sentence. A sample sentence is: I went up them today. (subir/las escaleras). The answer key is included.
Spanish House Board Game and Vocabulary - This is a 32 square board game containing images of 10 different common items found in homes. Students shake the die, move that number of spaces, say the word in Spanish and see who reaches the end first. Students unable to say the word must return to the beginning.

Spanish Preterit Human Bingo Speaking Activity Que Hiciste Hoy? Each student mingles with a bingo grid and must find different classmates that can reply yes to each of the 16 boxes. The grids contain questions such as, "Hiciste la cama antes de salir de la casa?" Examples of other verbs used are montar, comer, beber, ir, besar, mirar and trabajar. When a student replies yes to a question, the questioning student follows up by asking in Spanish for the student's signature. When a student fills the entire grid, he says, "Bingo!" Also included is a follow up worksheet that requires students to write a sentence for each of the 16 boxes in the grid. The student includes the name of the student that signed the box and must change the verb to the third person. Students must also write a Spanish infinitive under 6 images at the bottom of the paper. The infinitives are verbs that are included in the bingo grid. This is a good activity for students learning the preterit, and it's a good back to school review / get to know you activity for experienced Spanish students.

Students write the Spanish house vocabulary word under each of the 18 pictures.
