A simple worksheet that asks students to identify the silhouettes of cities from around the world and locate them on a world map. Two exercises are presented, one for the more able students with no clues, the second with the names of the cities at the top from which students can match up with each silhouette. A blank world map is included with each exercise. An answer sheet is also provided. Might be useful as a lesson filler/starter or homework exercise. Also could be used as a quiz night activity.

This is a worksheet (5 pages including 2 answer pages) that will get your students to investigate Hurricane Matthew (October 2016). The first page is a latitude and longitude exercise where the students will be the meteorologist and map the track of the hurricane from September 29 through to October 8th. On the second page students will answer general questions on hurricanes as background to the third page where they will look at the impact of Hurricane Matthew more closely. An answer sheet is provided for teachers.

A simple game for two that practices students in using four-figure grid references.

An introduction to Geography - a simple one page worksheet that gets students to think about what Geography is and by using photographs divide the subject into its two major areas, physical and human geography. To best use this worksheet get the students to answer the first question, "What is Geography?" and then discuss their answers as a class. Then let them study the photographs drawing out the various elements and deciding for themselves whether each landscape is more focused on physical or human geography.

A circular word search (aka word maze) requiring students to find the main instruments used to measure weather elements. Also includes a table to identify the element of weather an instrument is used to measure and its unit of measurement. An answer key is provided on the second page for both the word search and the table. A useful worksheet to use a a lesson filler or extension work for students who complete the main task of a lesson more quickly that others.

A crossword puzzle that looks at the terms used in the topic of Geography of Human Wellbeing. Useful as a revision exercise for students. Answers included.

This worksheet requires students to map the track of Hurricane Maria as it moved though the Caribbean. As well as a mapping skills exercise you may find this useful in engaging your students if you are presently doing a unit of work on natural hazards.

This is a worksheet (5 pages) that will get your students to investigate the 2017 South Asian Monsoon Floods. The first page students are taken to a website where they can answer general questions on the Asian monsoon. Page 2 has a map that shows the average arrival dates of the monsoon across the sub-continent as well as climate statistics for three cities (Mumbai, Dacca and New Delhi) that students are asked to create climate graphs in the grids provided. Page 3 has a climate table for students to fill in from the statistics on page 2, a question where they have to give a written description of Mumbai's climate as well as a creative writing piece about life before and after the arrival of the monsoon. On page 4 students will write notes on the impact of this year's monsoon on the countries of South Asia using information from weblinks provided. Page 5 has a number of questions that your more able students may want to investigate with again some useful weblinks. An answer sheet is provided for teachers as a separate file. You may want to give your students a couple of lessons to complete this worksheet or perhaps give it to them as a homework assignment.

Students are required to find the names of 10 European countries on the grid and then locate them on the map of Europe at the centre of the grid. Also available as part of a bundle of three European country wordsearches. An answer key is provided on the second page.
