I have over 20 years of experience teaching Design and Technology in Secondary Schools not only in the UK but also in Malaysia and in China as a secondary teacher of design and technology. I originally trained in the UK and have gained my B.ED (Hon’s) degree in Design and Technology I then found my first job of seven years In which I taught Resistant Materials, Graphics, and ICT to GCSE and A-Level. Since then I left the UK and worked abroad in three International Schools teaching IGCSE and IB programs I have grown and learned a lot in this time not only working in a managerial position but also learning how to adapt and change my teaching style to teach IB level students in different situations. My subject has leaned heavily towards ICT in more recent years and I have been in front of the technology required to teach my subject effectively. Using hardware and equipment to teach CAD/CAM technology, using ‘apple-mac’ and pc computers and application software accordingly.
