We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Science to join us from January 2025. You will be joining an expanding department with a proven record of excellent teaching and pupil progress. We are at an exciting stage of our journey where we are creating additional classes, reducing class sizes across the department and strengthening outcomes further. This post is open to experienced teachers or ECTs looking to start their career in a caring and supportive school.

The successful candidate will teach Science to an outstanding standard to all year groups and will assist in raising and maintaining standards of pupil attainment and achievement in the department. As a Teacher of Science, you will play a key role in promoting learning, monitoring pupil progress, and ensuring that every pupil feels supported and safe within the school environment. A willingness to participate in departmental extra-curricular activities is also essential.

Swanmore College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, 11-16 comprehensive secondary school, situated in a rural location approximately 13 miles south of Winchester, Hampshire. There are currently 1,200 pupils on the school roll. 

The secondary school is part of the Eastleigh Consortium, which is an association of 14 local schools and colleges. The aim of the consortium is to encourage the sharing of ideas and materials that have been produced by staff.
