A revision activity to practise vocabulary for the Spanish reading and listening exams and improve general vocabulary acquisition.
Have some Smarties per group of students (or counters that look like Smarties!) Students pick a Smartie and must name the key word on the card, translate the sentence and then write/say a sentence of their own including the key word. The more cards they correctly complete the more Smarties they get to eat.
There are 100 cards for each topic (apart from customs & festivals/technology as there are not as many words on the specification). These words are taken from the AQA vocabulary lists for both higher and foundation.
