Complete Beginners' Piano Pack for Children

Aimed at young beginner pianists, this pack contains 21 games to help students take their first steps on their musical journey.

The games take children from their first exploration of the sounds pianos make into understanding the concept of higher and lower pitches. They then focus on finding the different notes on the piano keyboard before moving on to reading their first notes on the staff.

Note identification games use five-finger positions surrounding middle C (treble clef C4-G4 and bass clef F3-C4) and also from the C below middle C (bass clef C3-G3) so you can select the hand position on which your method book focuses. Note length games use crotchets, minims, dotted minims and semibreves (quarter notes, half notes, dotted half notes and whole notes).

The games have been designed to require minimal preparation and not to use excessive ink. Board games can be played immediately after printing. Games cards have straight edges and are accurately lined up so that they can be cut quickly. The games take an average of five minutes to play, meaning they can easily be used within a weekly instrumental lesson.
